Dil Raju's father, Shyam Sundar Reddy (80), passed away on Monday. The bereaved family and friends are mourning the personal tragedy.
In a statement, Sri Venkateswara Creations' publicist only informed the media about the death. There was no further elaboration. But early media reports say that the last rites are scheduled to be held on Tuesday afternoon, as almost everyone close to Raju's family lives in India.
This is the second tragedy to strike the producer in recent years. Six years ago, during the making of 'Fidaa', his wife Anitha passed away. The untimely death took a toll on Raju's mental well-being. He could somehow gather strength and has continued to remain an enthusiastic producer. In 2020, he married Vygha Reddy, who was working for an airlines company.
Raju's daughter, Hanshitha Reddy, has produced 'Balagam' this year. The film was about the tensions in a family following the death of a relative.
