'The Great Indian Suicide' started streaming on Aha Video recently. The 150-minute film, written, produced and directed by Viplove Koneti, features Hebah Patel in a bold role.
As Chaitra, she hails from a rich family that attempts to die by suicide in order to bring back their patriarch (VK Naresh) to life. The cult suicide mission takes an unexpected turn as backstories are revealed in installments. The film's story has been inspired by real-life ritual suicides.
After 'Odela Railway Station', Hebah gets to be seen in yet another fairly engaging OTT release. It's not like the film is constantly engaging. The last 30 minutes are gripping.
Recently, the 'Kumari 21F' actress was in the news over abandoning an interview in a huff. She was irked by the host insisting on finding out whether she was in the right mood to give the interview. The video clip of Hebah opting out of the interview went viral. In recent years, Hebah has acted in 'Sasana Sabha', 'Orey Bujjiga', 'Red' and 'Geetha'.
As for 'The Great Indian Suicide', the film co-stars Ram Karthik and Pavitra Lokesh.
