'Yatra 2', directed by Mahi V Raghav, went on the floors in August. The political drama, based on the meteoric rise of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, has locked its release date.
The film will be out in theatres on February 8, 2024.
Right from the beginning, the makers were pretty sure about releasing the movie in February, just ahead of the AP Assembly election. The film is well on its track to meet the target.
"I may not be known to the world today. But you must remember one thing: I am YS Rajasekhara Reddy's son," a poster, released at the time of the project's announcement, said. Produced by Shiva Meka, the film will come out on the banners V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves. Madhie and Santosh Narayanan are its cinematographer and music director, respectively.
Actor Jeeva is playing Jagan in this one. The film's purpose is to show how there were many attempts to subdue Jagan by his rivals before his eventual ascent to power. His governance track record since 2019 is not the main focus of the film.
