Pavan Sadineni had a bumpy start in the film industry. After 'Prema Ishq Kaadhal' in 2013 became a hit, his second film 'Savitri' in 2016 turned out to be a major flop. On OTT, he has made 'Senapathi' for Aha Video and now 'Dayaa' for Disney Plus Hotstar. 'Dayaa', despite its logical flaws and the fact that it is a remake, has fetched him enough traction already.
In his latest interview, the director confirmed that he is going to make his dream project with Geetha Arts. Although this project was confirmed before 'Dayaa' was released on OTT, it is safe to assume that Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas signed him up based on their prior experience with him (that is, the director's 'Senapathi' stint).
The film, whose cast and crew details are yet to be made official, will be made on a huge budget.
Pavan Sadineni is set to direct 'Dayaa 2' for Hotstar soon. The first installment left several critical questions unanswered. The script for the second part is nearly complete.
