In a recent interview, a female YouTuber and social media influencer appeared on a YouTube channel. The budding starlet was asked by the interviewer if she would be ready to play Prabhas' sister on screen.
In her reply, the guest said that she would be ready to do that on screen. However, she added, her off-screen words to Prabhas would be different. "I will tell him that I would like to rape him," she added further, breaking into a loud guffaw as if she had spoken something witty.
The interview clip has been shared widely, with at least two posts on Twitter clocking more than 40,000 views. Netizens are outraged at the language used. "The word 'rape' is not supposed to be used in a casual way for cheap laughs or thrills. It is a heinous crime to rape somebody," a Facebook user wrote.
Netizens were found tagging playback singer Chinmayi Sripaada. "Where is Chinmayi when she is most needed? Had a male celeb casually said this about an actress, by now, feminists would have destroyed his career," a Twitter user wrote.
