'Hidimbha', a crime thriller with a bloody twist, was released in theatres on July 20. Starring Ashwin Babu and Nandita Swetha as cops, it had Makrand Deshpande in a scary role.
Aha Video has announced that the film will stream on its platform from August 10. The OTT platform added that the film (which was a box-office flop) will stream from 7 pm.
The story of 'Hidimbha' revolves around a series of mysterious disappearances of girls in Hyderabad. The raft of abductions put pressure on the police force. A special IPS officer named Adhya (Nandita Swetha) is brought in to investigate, with junior officer Abhay (Ashwin Babu) assisting her. They discover that a tribe called Hidimbha is involved in ghastly crimes. The ancient tribe is also engaged in serial killings and the motives of the tribe are explored in the second half.
'Hidimbha' is a suspense thriller with a compelling storyline. "But the narration could have been clearer and more gripping. It manages to create an intriguing factor, but the film's pacing and some logical inconsistencies disappoint in a few areas. If thrillers are your genre, give this film a shot," our review opined.
