Ananya Nagalla was seen as one of the victims of sexual harassment in Pawan Kalyan's courtroom drama 'Vakeel Saab' in 2021. This year has been quite bad for her. She was seen in Samantha Ruth Prabhu's epic mythological film 'Shaakuntalam' in a character role. The film, directed by Gunasekhar, didn't fetch her any advantage because it turned out to be a major disaster. 'Malli Pelli', starring VK Naresh in the lead, had her in an extended cameo as the younger version of Pavitra Lokesh. Both these releases, one can say, are a minus for Ananya.
She is now pinning hopes on 'Tantra'. The horror film, helmed by Srinivas Gopisetti, has her in a performance-centric role.
Ananya, who is choosy about the kind of roles she wants to do, will be sharing the screen space with Dhanush (son of late Srihari's brother), Saloni of 'Maryada Ramanna' fame, and others. On Ananya's birthday earlier this week, a poster was released by First Copy Movies, Be The Way Films, and V Film Factory.
The film, bankrolled by Naresh Babu P and Ravi Chaitanya, is yet to lock its release date. 'Tantra' has music by RR Dhruvan.
