BJP leader Bandi Sanjay today attended an event related to the upcoming movie, 'Razakar'. Directed by Yata Satyanarayana, the film brings out the true face of the Nizam era. The Karimnagar MP delivered a passionate speech on the occasion.
"There has always been an attempt by pseudo-secular parties to whitewash the sins and crimes of past rulers like the Nizams. They show the Charminar and the Osmania University as examples and argue that the Nizam era was golden. This is a deliberate attempt to hide the truth from today's generation," he added.
Gudur Narayana Reddy has produced the movie. "(Former Union Minister) Vidyasagar Rao garu knows the history of Telangana in and out. I advised the producer to consult him before firming up the movie," Bandi Sanjay said, thanking Reddy for making a period film set in an era so prominent in Telangana's history.
Bandi Sanjay spoke about the atrocities of the Nizam's Razakars. "Women were stripped and made to participate in festivities naked. Girls were raped in the presence of their parents. Their history is wretched. This film brings out the truth as it is," he added.
The BJP leader further said, "Some media houses will not support this movie. I appeal to social media users to promote 'Razakar' aggressively. Please ensure that it becomes a blockbuster. Make sure that everyone in India watches 'Razakar'. Become a social media warrior the way you promoted 'The Kashmir Files'. Everyone who has acted in 'Razakar' is a true hero in real life."
