'Baby' is all set to hit the screens this Friday (July 14). On Thursday evening, multiple paid premiers for the audience will be held in important multiplexes such as Prasads, AMB and AAA in Hyderabad.
In her latest interview, debutante Vaishnavi Chaitanya spoke of the struggles she faced before director Sai Rajesh spotted her in 2020 and cast her in a lead role in 'Baby'. "It was a wait for 8 years. I was doing Instagram videos, shorts even though my aim was to grab a lead role in a feature film," Vaishnavi, who was brought up in Hyderabad's Old City, said.
"I come from a non-film background. I grew up in a basti in Chandrayanagutta. People in my life wrote me off because I was not landing film offers. I myself entertained self-doubts. 'Baby' is the most important project in my life," Vaishnavi says. She plays a slum-dweller who takes to style and a liberated mindset once she moves to the city to pursue higher education.
The actress is paired up with Anand Deverakonda, who too feels that the fate of 'Baby' will decide his film career in a lot of ways.
Produced by SKN of Mass Movie Makers, the film has Viraj Ashwin as the other lead man.
