Writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has said that there will be a sequel to 'RRR'. It will be made predominantly by Hollywood talents.
Surprisingly, SS Rajamouli will most likely not direct the sequel. He will merely be its directorial supervisor or handle some other creative job at the helm. It has to be seen if the film will feature Jr NTR and Ram Charan or some other actors. If it is some other set of actors, the sequel will be thematic in nature.
Rajamouli has got plans to start the Mahabharatham movies, his dream project, after he completes Mahesh Babu's movie. It will be a huge surprise if Rajamouli takes up the tentpole Mahabharatham movies immediately after Mahesh's untitled, yet-to-be-shot project. The epic movies will be a colossal franchise with many parts.
In his latest TV interview, Vijayendra Prasad sounded non-committal about the timelines for the aforementioned movies. The Rajamouli-Mahesh movie might get launched formally on August 9. The film will be a 2026 release. The action-adventure outing, to be styled after the Indiana Jones sensibility, will be a pan-world project.
