A new web series titled 'Sweet Kaaram Coffee' is up for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The web series will stream on the platform from July 6 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Originally made in Tamil, its dubbed versions will be available simultaneously.
The female-centric drama is headlined by Madhoo (Madhubala), veteran actress Lakshmi, and Santhy. "Three generations. One epic adventure. Get ready to join the craziest road journey of the year," Amazon Prime wrote, announcing the release date.
The description suggests that the series takes the form of a coming-of-age road drama with themes such as liberation, and self-discovery acquiring dominance.
Helmed by Bejoy Nambiar, Krishna Marimuthu and Swathi Raghuraaman, the series is created by Reshma Ghatala. The cast and crew are dominated by talents from Tamil and Malayalam industries. Amazon Prime is pinning much hopes on the series to cater to its urban patrons.
The show is written by its creator along with Swathi (one of the directors), Vinithra Madhavan Menon and Krishnaswamy Ramkumar.
