Netflix's 'The Archies' featuring SRK's daughter, others badly trolled

'The Archies' is the title of a musical buddy drama to be premiered on Netflix soon. It is a Hindi-language adaptation of The Archie comics. Director Zoya Akhtar has worked with debutante Suhana, who is Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Khushi Kapoor (Sridevi's daughter) and Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan's grandson), among others.

Ever since its teaser was released on Sunday, the show has been trolled badly for its Westernized aesthetics. While the story is set in a hill station in India, the whole atmosphere, the costumes, the demeanour of the main actors, and their expressions look overly borrowed and pretentious.

Many social media users wrote that the teaser has got 'School fest dance competition' vibes. "The only difference is that school kids generally seem like they are enjoying themselves," wrote Aatreyee. "This legit looks like the Annual Day ka performance with no coordination! And why do all boys look the same? Like who's who?" wrote JustAnotherIntrovert.

"It is giving me kindergarten fancy dress competition performance vibes," wrote another user.

This Netflix show is turning out to be one of the most-trolled Indian shows ever.
