'Uyyala Jampala' actress Avika Gor targets South film industry!

Avika Gor shot to fame in Telugu with 'Uyyala Jampala' about a decade ago. The 'Balika Vadhu' actress was recently seen in 'Popcorn', a massive Tollywood flop she co-produced.

In her latest interview, the 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' actress commented that Telugu cinema and other industries down South are all about nepotism. She made the remarks in the context of saying that it's not fair to project Bollywood as the only den of nepotism.

Having worked in Tollywood, she knows how things work here. Avika Gor may be sounding sweeping when she says that the South film industry is all about nepotism but she is not entirely wrong.

In the past, female actors who worked in the Telugu film industry and went on to become sought-after in Hindi cinema (such as Taapsee Pannu) have boldly criticized some trends/phenomena in South cinema at the risk of being slammed by trolls. Avika Gor hit out at Telugu cinema at a time when she turned a producer. She apparently knows that she won't get to work with nepo kids here in any case!
