Sithara Entertainments is one of the top banners in Tollywood. After producing 'Bheemla Nayak' with Pawan Kalyan, the banner is also associated with Superstar Mahesh Babu's 28th film (technically speaking, 'Guntur Kaaram' is produced by Sithara's sister concern, Haarika & Hassine Creations). The banner had a hard time with a small movie early this year. 'Butta Bomma', which was the remake of a Malayalam movie, bombed at the box office.
'Intinti Ramayanam', to be released on June 9 in theatres, has to work for the banner. Last year, the movie was meant to be released directly on Aha Video. However, Sithara and Aha Video decided to put out the film in theatres first. The decision resulted in the film's release being kept in abeyance for about 6 months.
Starring VK Naresh, Rahul Ramakrishna, Navya Swamy and others, 'Intinti Ramayanam' is a small film.
In recent months, small films that were mockingly described by some film critics as OTT movies have minted good monies. 'Mem Famous' and 'Pareshan' are the best examples. Presenter Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Aha Video will be closely monitoring how the response for 'Intinti Ramayanam' is going to be this Friday. If this so-called OTT movie also mints money, rooted village-based movies will get a further fillip.
The film's trailer will be released on Wednesday (June 7) at the hands of Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
