After 'The Kerala Story', 'The Delhi Files' to rake up a huge row

By netting Rs 35 Cr (approximately) in the opening weekend in India, 'The Kerala Story' has shown the potential of pro-Hindutva cinema yet again. People are referring to the success of 'The Kashmir Files' as well.

After these two films, we are going to witness another pro-Hindutva movie. In 2024, producer Abhishek Agarwal will be bringing out 'The Delhi Files'. The film is not about the Delhi riots of 1984 but something else. It is about the killing of Hindus in Bengal in 1946 first (the carnage was instigated by the Muslim League), immediately after Independence next, and again in the run-up to the 1971 war.

Producer Abhishek Agarwal said that the Khilafat ideology is responsible for the constant communal conflict in Bengal, including the recent Delhi riots in the wake of the announcement of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The producer feels that a section of motivated individuals is against his movie. "Why is there so much hatred against a film which hasn't even started its shoot? Is it the fear that the public will know the truth behind the Bengal Genocide? Looks like it," he said.
