Since last year, cop films have witnessed largely negative results. Ram Pothineni's 'The Warriorr' was a disaster. Sree Vishnu's 'Alluri' was another flop, followed by the dubbed film 'Laththi', starring Vishal in the lead.

This year, already, two cop films have flopped badly. Sudheer Babu's 'Hunt' (remake) and Kiran Abbavaram's 'Meter' bored the audience to death. The only honorable exception is 'HIT: The Second Case', starring Adivi Sesh in the lead.

This May, two cop films are coming out. 'Custody' will be released on May 12. Naga Chaitanya is playing a policeman in it. On May 5, 'Ugram' will see Allari Naresh in the role of a cop who probably gets dismissed after he carries upright investigation without fearing his compromised bosses.

Can 'Custody' and 'Ugram' manage to bring good news to the cop movie sub-genre?
