"Ponniyin Selvan" is a highly anticipated movie directed by Mani Ratnam. Part 1 of the movie was released nationwide in India last year, but it only managed to impress the Tamil audience and did not do well in other languages. Part 2 is set to release on April 28, and while it is also being released nationwide, the promotions are only being done in Tamil, despite the fact that Tamil movies have good demand in Telugu.

However, since PS 1 did not perform well in Telugu, the makers are not taking Telugu promotions for PS 2 seriously. It is even said that Telugu business has not been happening for PS 2, and the makers are now considering whether to release the movie in Telugu or not.

PS 1 was released in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, but with only 10 days left until the release of PS 2, the promotions are only happening in Tamil. It remains to be seen if there will be any rush to promote the movie in other languages in the days leading up to its release. Mani Ratnam is hoping to correct the miscalculation made with PS 1 and have PS 2 meet expectations. But they seem to have decided against releasing in other languages rather than try releasing and creating some buzz.
