The movie Kabja tried to imitate the success of KGF but failed miserably at the box office. Despite the efforts of the cast and crew, the movie could not impress the audience in any language, and the team's claims of a hundred crore collection within the first three days led to trolling on social media. The movie couldn't even recover the publicity costs in other languages.
However, the director and producers are still planning to make Kabja 2, and the script is reportedly locked. The first part was marketed as a multi-starrer with Sudeep, Shivraj Kumar, and Upendra, but fans were disappointed as the two actors had only brief appearances. The sequel will reportedly focus on Shivraj Kumar's character. Already the film team is trying to generate some hype as expected.
Many people believe that it's best to avoid a subject that has already been rejected, and punishing the audience with another movie is not a good idea. Even Ravi Basrur's music, who provided the music for KGF and Salar, couldn't save Kabja. Even after its release on Amazon Prime, the negative feedback continued. Many feel that the negative reception to the first movie should be taken into consideration.
