The Bollywood industry has been in the news recently due to the controversy surrounding the alleged nepotism and bullying by certain influential figures. After Priyanka Chopra spoke up about facing such issues, a video of Karan Johar went viral where he jokingly claimed to have tried to prevent Anushka Sharma from getting the lead role in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi," allegedly at the behest of Shah Rukh Khan.
Karan faced backlash on social media and shared a cryptic note in response. Kangana Ranaut, who has been a vocal critic of the industry's practices, attacked Karan directly, accusing him of ruining the careers of Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra and trying to destroy her own career. Karan countered by saying that he won't stoop to Kangana's level of responding in Hindi instead of English and pointed out her recent films' disappointing performance at the box office.
Kangana's upcoming project is reportedly a film about India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the Emergency period. Kangana made some comments in Hindi for which Karan too replied in Hindi and Kangana claimed that this is how she could get Karan to a lower level and she will ensure he suffers a never-before-seen downfall. After earlier controversies, it's clear that Kangana now has a new bone to pick with.
