Tammareddy Bharadwaja is a well-known offbeat film maker who has shown his admiration for the megastar Chiranjeevi on several occasions. However, one of his recent comments regarding "RRR" has received a backlash from actor Naga Babu, who responded with a series of vulgarities.

In a recent interview with the media, Tammareddy claimed that Rajamouli had recklessly spent Rs 80 crore for an Oscar campaign. According to him, if he and his colleagues were given such a large sum of money, they could produce ten Telugu films.

Unfortunately, Tammareddy has become a target of abuse from Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and NTR fans. Naga Babu, who is known for his use of colorful language, took to Twitter to express his discontent. He wrote, "whether his mother's husband wasted 80 crores for RRR's Oscar campaign."

The otherwise silent and non-controversial director Raghavendra Rao too has come out publicly, objecting to Tammareddy’s statement, adding that it is a matter of pride that a Telugu film has reached the Oscars.
