King Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently concerned about his recent string of box office failures with big-budget action movies. Despite this, he has agreed to work on three upcoming films. One is directed by writer Prasanna, another by Mohan Raja of Dhruva and GodFather fame, and the third is a remake of the Malayalam film "Porinju Mariyam Jose," which is currently in the hands of producer Abhishek Agarwal.
The story of the Malayalam film revolves around three main characters: Porinju, Mariyam, and Jose. While it is a massy film with predictable content, it was successful in Malayalam. Nagarjuna is reportedly interested in doing the remake, and discussions are ongoing.
However, Nagarjuna had previously considered starring in the Telugu remake of Vikram Vedha, but plans fell through due to a lack of another actor to play the police officer opposite him. It remains to be seen if the casting for the Malayalam remake will work out for Nagarjuna, as all three roles will have equal importance. First, it is necessary to confirm if he will be doing the film at all.
