Following the massive critical acclaim surrounding its initial announcements, RS Infotainment’s ambitious action-drama Mandaadi is rapidly locked and loaded for a grand worldwide theatrical release this September. Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by Elred Kumar, the film has wrapped up its principal photography, with high-end post-production works currently underway.

While actor Soori leads the film in a demanding avatar, the makers just dropped a gripping behind-the-scenes (BTS) look highlighting Telugu actor Suhas, who is making his official Tamil cinema debut in a vicious, negative-shaded role.

A Darker, More Ferocious Avatar for Suhas

Suhas has already cemented a unique reputation in Tollywood as a versatile performer, navigating seamlessly between innocent protagonist roles and chilling, sinister villainy in cult hits like HIT 2 and Family Drama. However, his character in Mandaadi is tracking to be his most brutal and raw performance to date.

The newly released BTS video showcases the extreme effort behind crafting his look:

  • Suhas dedicated nearly 100 days of shooting explicitly to this project.

  • He underwent a rigorous physical transformation to embody the raw aggression required by the script.

  • The video teases his cold screen presence, indicating a top-tier antagonistic performance that will heavily challenge Soori's character on screen.

Powerhouse Creative Team Driving the Action Drama

Adding massive trade value to the project, legendary director Vetri Maaran is attached to the film as the Creative Producer. The film features Mahima Nambiar as the leading lady, backed by an elite supporting cast including veteran actor Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay, Mithun, and Bala Saravanan.

The technical departments are heavily stacked to ensure a high-quality big-screen experience. Music sensation GV Prakash Kumar is composing the soundtrack, SR Kathir handles the realistic cinematography, and Pradeep E. Raghav is supervising the edit layout. To complement the gritty storyline, National Award-winning action directors Peter Hein, Dhilip Subburayan, and Mahesh Mathew have choreographed the grounded, high-stakes stunt sequences.
