"Gayapadda Simham" is a Hilarious Ride; My Character Shalini Adds a Fun Vibe: Faria Abdullah
The upcoming new-age entertainer "Gayapadda Simham," featuring Tharun Bhascker in the lead and Sree Vishnu in a special role, is set to hit global screens on May 1st. Directed by Kashyap Srinivas and presented by Pawan Sadineni, the film is produced by a collaborative team including Kalyana Chakravarthy Manthina, Bhanu Kiran Pratapa, Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni, and Umesh Bansal under the banners of Saptasva Media Works, POV Stories, and Zee Studios.
Ahead of the release, the film's leading lady, Faria Abdullah, shared insights about her role and the "madness" behind the scenes.
A "Vlogger" with a Romantic Twist
Faria revealed that she plays a significant cameo role named Shalini, a modern-day vlogger.

The Dynamic: Her character shares a romantic track with Tharun Bhascker. "Shalini is full of energy and comedy. The way Kashyap has written this character is incredibly funny; it’s a part that will make the audience want to watch the film again," she shared.

The "Hand" Joke: When asked about the other female lead, Manasa Choudhary, Faria quipped with a laugh: "In the movie, she is the girl who gave him the 'hand' (broke up), and I am the girl who held his hand!"

Faria noted that the set was unique because it was filled with talented directors who were acting in the film, including Tharun Bhascker, JD Chakravarthy, and Pawan Sadineni.

On Tharun’s Timing: "Tharun is hilarious. His comedy timing is next-level. Even a small expression from him would make me burst out laughing during the scenes. We shared a great rapport discussing everything from Satya to Pelli Choopulu."

Future Plans: Acting and Directing
Faria hinted at a very busy 2026. Aside from her upcoming films "Bhagavanthudu," "Sigma," and a project with Satya Dev, she revealed her directorial ambitions. "I am writing a few scripts and planning to direct a film next year," she confirmed. When asked about a potential collaboration with Dulquer Salmaan, she expressed her wish to do a full-length feature with him rather than just a cameo.
