Srinivas Murthy, a renowned dubbing artist from South India, passed away due to a heart attack. He was known for lending his voice to many popular actors such as Suriya, Thala Ajith, Vikram, Mohanlal, and Rajasekhar. Despite the significant role of dubbing artists in the film industry, they often go unrecognized as they work behind the scenes.

Murthy's voice became so closely linked to Suriya's characters that it could be disconcerting to hear another voice when watching one of his films. He was also known for dubbing for several other actors and was often referred to as the "King of Telugu Dubbing."

Murthy was an experienced and accomplished dubbing artist with over a thousand movies to his credit. He specialized in translating Hollywood and Bollywood movies into Southern regional languages, specifically Telugu. He was particularly known for his work on the Fast and Furious franchise and also lent his voice to superstars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.

His hard work and dedication to his craft were recognized with several awards, including the Nandi Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist in 1998 for his work on the Telugu film, Sivayya. Despite his untimely demise, Srinivas Murthy will always be remembered for his powerful and versatile voice that left a lasting impact on the film industry.
