"Dacoit" is Guaranteed to be a Blockbuster: Victory Venkatesh at the Pre-Release Event
The anticipation for Adivi Sesh’s upcoming pan-India action-romantic thriller, "Dacoit," has reached a fever pitch following a star-studded pre-release event. Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, the film stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and features a pivotal role by Anurag Kashyap. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under Annapurna Studios and SS Creations, the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10.
The event was graced by Victory Venkatesh as the chief guest, alongside a host of industry stalwarts including Suresh Babu, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, and Sumanth.
Venkatesh Predicts a Massive Hit
Addressing the gathering, Venkatesh expressed his immense confidence in the project. He noted that the "vibes" surrounding the film have been positive since its inception.
"There is no doubt—Dacoit will be a blockbuster. I’ve observed Sesh since Panjaa and knew then he would become a brilliant actor. The trailer shows a unique blend of a soulful love story with intense action. I believe this will be Mrunal’s best performance to date."

An emotional Adivi Sesh spoke about the two-year journey of making the film, describing it as a "dream realized through hard work." He revealed that director Shaneil Deo was still working tirelessly on the final overseas copies even as the event took place.

For producer Supriya Yarlagadda, Dacoit is more than just a movie; it’s a tribute to her family legacy. She shared the deep meaning behind the SS Creations logo, which incorporates elements like her grandfather’s (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) dhoti, her grandmother’s vermillion, and music composed by her father for the film Gaayam.
Music director Bheems Ceciroleo expressed his gratitude to Annapurna Studios for being a turning point in his career. He mentioned that the song "Ruba Ru" and the rest of the album have turned out beautifully, perfectly complementing the film's high-stakes narrative.
With the backing of major producers like Suresh Babu, Ravi Shankar, and Swapna Dutt, Dacoit is positioned as the next big cinematic experience for Indian audiences this summer. Release Date: April 10.
