The team behind the musical romance Nilave recently gathered at Ramanaidu Studios to celebrate the film's positive reception at the box office. Released as a Valentine’s Day special on February 13, the movie has been praised for its emotional depth and rich soundtrack, carving out a niche as a genuine success despite the crowded release window.

The event saw several industry veterans and the film's core team reflecting on the three-year journey that brought this "small film with a big heart" to the silver screen.

Industry Veterans Offer High Praise

The celebration featured glowing endorsements from prominent figures in Telugu cinema:

  • Director V. Samudra: Attending as the chief guest, Samudra noted that among the numerous Valentine's week releases, Nilave has emerged as a silent hit with steady collections. He predicted that the lead pair, Sowmith Poladi and Shreyansi Sen, are destined for superstardom.

  • Actor Gemini Suresh: He offered a poetic tribute, comparing the film's visual and emotional quality to a painting by the legendary Bapu or a poem by Viswanatha Satyanarayana. "It is the Geethanjali of this generation," he remarked.

  • Chandrabose: The Oscar-winning lyricist sent a video message congratulating the team on creating what he called the "biggest musical hit" of the season.

A "Baahubali" Effort for a Passion Project

The cast and crew shared emotional stories about the film's production, which spanned over three years:

  • Sowmith Poladi (Hero & Co-Director): Drawing a parallel to major epics, Sowmith stated, "Just as it took years for Baahubali to reach the audience, Nilave has been our Baahubali. We faced many hurdles, but seeing the 'housefull' boards over the last four days makes every struggle worth it."

  • Sai K. Vennam (Director): Emphasized that a "pure intention" and a strong reason for making the film were the keys to its success. He encouraged aspiring filmmakers to stay dedicated to their vision.

  • Shreyansi Sen (Heroine): Expressed her gratitude to the Telugu audience for embracing her debut performance as Aditi, thanking the directors for their unwavering trust.

The Power of Music and Emotion

Producer Raj Allada and music director Kalyan Nayak highlighted that the film’s emotional core and soundtrack were its biggest strengths. The team noted that audiences are connecting deeply with the "musical love drama" aspect, which has helped the film stand out in the romantic genre.
