Mouli Tanuj, who became a household name with the hit film 90s Middle Class Biopic, is teaming up with talented actress Shivani Nagaram of Ambajipeta Marriage Band fame for his latest project, “Little Hearts.” The youthful entertainer is directed by Sai Martand, under the ETV Win Originals banner, with production support from Aditya Hasan, while Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati are handling its theatrical release. The movie is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on September 5.
From Aspiring Director to Actor
In a recent interaction, Mouli opened up about his journey in cinema. He revealed that he originally entered the industry with dreams of becoming a writer and director. During his B.Tech days, he experimented with short films, learning editing and promoting his content on social media. This hands-on experience gave him a strong command over scripts and storytelling, eventually paving the way to his acting breakthrough with 90s Middle Class Biopic.
Why “Little Hearts” Stands Out
Talking about his new film, Mouli shared that Little Hearts always felt like a theatrical entertainer right from narration. With the strong backing of ETV Win Originals and the support of established producers, he expressed excitement over its wide release. According to him, the promotional material has already created a positive buzz among audiences.
He added that while his contribution to the script was “like sprinkling coriander on biryani,” director Sai Martand has crafted a super-fun comedy loaded with heartwarming moments. Mouli also actively participated in promotional strategies, ensuring the freshness of the film’s reach.
Fun for All Age Groups
Describing the theme of Little Hearts, Mouli said it’s not limited to youth alone — the story is designed to resonate with audiences from 6 to 60 years old. He stressed that making movies that can be happily watched with parents and families is one of his key principles, both as an actor and as a budding writer.
Balancing Dreams and Career
Coming from a non-film background, Mouli revealed that his family initially doubted his choice of entering films, but after the success of 90s Middle Class Biopic, they began to believe in his capabilities. While his focus now is on doing quality roles, he still nurtures his first dream of writing and directing films, and continues to work on script ideas alongside acting.
Music, Co-Star & Expectations
Mouli particularly praised his co-star Shivani Nagaram for her support and effortless performance, and applauded music director Sinjith Yerramalli for delivering catchy tunes that elevate the film’s emotions. He believes the songs and comedy will be a major highlight in theatres, where the big-screen experience will enhance the laughs and mood far better than OTT viewing.
With positive responses from premiere shows, Mouli is confident that Little Hearts will connect with audiences across demographics. He also hinted that his next project will be announced shortly, as he is already in discussions for new scripts.
Calling it a hilarious rom-com packed with emotion, Mouli wholeheartedly invited audiences to enjoy Little Hearts in theatres for the best cinematic experience.
