The highly anticipated film 'Thammudu,' starring Nithiin and directed by Sriram Venu, celebrated its grand trailer launch today in Hyderabad. Produced by the renowned Dil Raju and Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film features a compelling cast including Laya, Varsha Bollamma, and Sapthami Gowda, and is poised for a worldwide theatrical release on July 4th.
At the vibrant event, Producer Dil Raju expressed immense confidence in 'Thammudu,' stating, "With a fresh concept, 'Thammudu' will be a film that audiences enjoy watching in theatres. In this genre, 'Thammudu' will be referred to as a benchmark."
Dil Raju commended director Sriram Venu's tireless four-year dedication to the project. "Right from the beginning, he was clear that he wanted to design the film with a fresh visual and sound experience, and he delivered exactly that, with great dedication," Raju noted. Dispelling rumors of similarities to older films, he clarified, "Though 'Thammudu' is a story centered around the bond between a brother and sister, it is a completely new concept. There’s no reference point for it." He further lauded Venu for prioritizing the film's success over personal gain, even foregoing remuneration demands when facing budget concerns, a gesture Raju hopes will inspire industry trends.
Director Sriram Venu reciprocated the sentiment, expressing his joy at the trailer's reception. "Everything I wanted to say was already shown on screen through the trailer. Now, I’m eager to hear what you all will say about the film after its release," he said. Venu revealed that Nithiin's unwavering belief in the emotional depth of the story, even when other actors had initial doubts, was crucial. He humbly credited the film's potential success to Dil Raju, Nithiin, Laya, and the entire team. He also shared that his life's significant female figures—mother, sister, daughter, and wife—are the wellspring of emotional inspiration reflected in his films.
Hero Nithiin expressed his belief that the trailer has resonated deeply with audiences. "Laya Garu plays a very important role in this movie, and she has delivered an outstanding performance. Sapthami Gowda also plays a key role, and Swasika, who may appear soft-spoken, has a character that will truly surprise you," he stated. He recalled his earlier hit, Dil, produced by Raju, noting how 'Thammudu' similarly represents the highest budget of his career. "I sincerely hope it becomes a major success when it releases on July 4th," Nithiin added, echoing the team's optimism. He also revealed that he and Director Venu, along with Dil Raju, are huge fans of Pawan Kalyan, thus naming the film 'Thammudu' as a tribute.
