Kamal Haasan Declares 'Thug Life' a "Great Film," Awaits Audience Response on June 5th

Universal Hero Kamal Haasan's highly anticipated gangster action drama, 'Thug Life,' is poised for its theatrical release on June 5th. At a grand pre-release event held in Visakhapatnam, Kamal Haasan expressed his deep connection with the audience, calling 'Thug Life' a film made to "repay their debt."

Directed by legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam, 'Thug Life' also features Trisha and Simbu in pivotal roles. The promotional content released so far has already generated a national sensation. In Telugu states, the film will be distributed by N. Sudhakar Reddy's Sreshth Movies, the company behind blockbusters like Vikram and Amaran.

Kamal Haasan Reflects on His Journey and 'Thug Life'

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd in Visakhapatnam, Kamal Haasan shared, "Greetings to everyone. The people of Vizag have embraced me wholeheartedly. I came here when I was 21, and back then, no one even knew my face. The shooting for 'Maro Charitra' went very smoothly here, and after its release, it gave me a fan base so immense I couldn't even walk freely. Later, when I made 'Ek Duuje Ke Liye,' Telugu audiences applauded me, saying, 'Our boy went to Hindi and conquered!' I filmed 'Sagara Sangamam,' 'Ek Duuje Ke Liye,' and 'Shubh Sankalp' in Vizag. This feels like my own home."

He continued, "Wherever I see good art, I salute it and learn from it. I have made some bad films, but you have forgotten them and only remembered the good ones. For that, I sincerely thank you. It is my responsibility to provide you with good films. Out of 15 Telugu films, 13 have been successful. You gave me the successes; I only gave the flops. This is the truth.
