As Telugu cinema celebrates the 35th anniversary of the timeless classic "Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari" (JVAS) with its re-release in 4K 2D and 3D formats on May 9th, Megastar Chiranjeevi has ignited excitement by discussing the possibility of a sequel or remake.

In a special reunion interview with director K. Raghavendra Rao and producer Ashwini Dutt, Chiranjeevi reflected on the film's enduring magic and its impact on Telugu cinema. He then playfully suggested a dream cast for a potential continuation of the story. "I think Ram Charan and Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor would be perfect for a sequel or remake," Chiranjeevi stated. He further envisioned a family affair behind the scenes, adding, "I also feel Ashwini Dutt garu’s daughters should produce it, and his son-in-law Nag Ashwin should direct it, with guidance from Raghavendra Rao garu. That would be historic."

The interview also saw Ram Charan joining the conversation to congratulate the JVAS team on its 35th anniversary. Echoing the sentiments of many fans, Charan playfully demanded answers from director Nag Ashwin about the unresolved plot points of the original film. "We, the audience, still want to know what happened to the ring and that fish at the end of the movie. Only one person can answer – Nag Ashwin. We are not just asking, we are demanding an answer from you!" he exclaimed.

The re-release of "Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari" offers a new generation the chance to experience the film's epic visuals, engaging storyline, and sensational music on the big screen. The original film, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by Ashwini Dutt, starred Chiranjeevi and Sridevi and is considered a landmark in Telugu cinema. The reunion of these legends has not only celebrated the film's legacy but also sparked fervent speculation about its future.
