Tell us about your background?
Born and raised in Chandigarh, I am now settled in Mumbai. I have acted in a few Bollywood films before, but "Sodara" is my first Telugu movie.
What attracted you to be a part of this film?
I agreed to the film because I liked the story. The beauty of the script is that it's a light-hearted family drama. You can watch this movie with your friends, and family. I also really liked my character in the film. I play an innocent village girl. A simple village girl, educated, innocent, and dignified – that's my character.
How was it working with Sampoornesh and Sanjosh?
Both of them are very sweet people and extremely cooperative. There's a lot of energy on set when they are both there.
You posted on Instagram that you are learning Telugu, why is that?
I was inspired by the words of producer SKN at the film's trailer launch and decided to learn Telugu. Telugu sounds very beautiful. If I want to settle here, I need to learn Telugu. Only then will I feel comfortable.
How is Hyderabad?
Hyderabad has an inexplicable energy. It's calm, and I am very hopeful that I will get busy here. I believe in it.
What about director Mohan Garu?
Director Mohan Garu is very cooperative and supportive. He gave me a character with scope for performance. I was able to act well because of him.
Have you seen Sampoornesh's previous films?
I had heard about Sampoornesh. I know he is considered an out-of-the-box actor. I am aware of his fan base. I watched his previous film, "Martin Luther King."
How did it feel to play a traditional character?
I have played traditional characters before. In real life too, I am a simple girl; my personality is like that. I played a character in this film that is very close to my real personality.
What kind of genres do you like?
I want to do all kinds of roles and all kinds of films. If needed, I will do any kind of character.
Do you want to do performance-oriented roles or glamorous roles?
I want to do performance-oriented roles. If we can act well, we look beautiful. Even if we are beautiful but can't act, we don't look glamorous. My first priority is performance-oriented films.
Who is the heroine that inspires you?
I really like Alia Bhatt. Her journey and the roles she has done have inspired me. Her film selection is also good.
Who is your favorite hero in Tollywood?
I really like Allu Arjun Garu; I love his movies.
What do you like about Telugu cinema?
I really like the time punctuality in Telugu cinema. I also really like the professionalism of the artists here. I really liked the equal treatment given to every artist. I still have a lot to learn about Telugu cinema.
