Kichcha Sudeep has ignited excitement among his fans with a major announcement regarding his long-awaited project, "Billa Ranga Baashaa." After facing delays, the action-adventure film has officially commenced its principal photography today, April 16th.
Taking to his X account, the Sandalwood star unveiled a striking new poster and revealed the film's intriguing title: "BRB - The First Blood." Adding to the anticipation, Sudeep disclosed that the narrative will unfold in the distant future, specifically in the year 2209 AD.
In his post, Sudeep shared his enthusiasm, stating, "2209 AD - #BRBFirstBlood. The journey begins today. To us, this mammoth dream and vision of our team, going on floor is an unparalleled excitement."
This announcement comes after a previous update from Kichcha Sudeep, where he indicated that filming for "BRB" was slated to commence in the second week of March 2025.
"Billa Ranga Baashaa" marks Kichcha Sudeep's second collaboration with director Anup Bhandari, following their successful venture "Vikrant Rona," which became a box office superhit.
According to reports, the film's storyline is ambitiously set nearly two centuries in the future and will be presented as a two-part narrative. The project has been in its extensive pre-production phase for a considerable period, hinting at the scale and complexity of the film.
A significant aspect of this Kannada action-adventure movie is the planned extensive use of VFX and custom-designed 3D sets. The production schedule involves non-stop shooting in these intricate environments for 20-25 day stretches, during which new custom 3D sets will be simultaneously constructed.
Meanwhile, Kichcha Sudeep's recent release, "Max," proved to be a significant success at the box office, performing exceptionally well despite competition from multiple releases during the same week.
