Moviegoers are eagerly awaiting "Mad Square," the sequel to the blockbuster "Mad." Starring Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Ram Nithin in lead roles, the film is directed by Kalyan Shankar. Harika Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya are producing the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas in association with Srikara Studios. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is presenting the film, which is set to release on March 28th. The promotional materials released so far have garnered significant attention. In a recent media interaction, the Mad Gang - Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Ram Nithin - shared several interesting details about the film.

Your trio's combination is great. Will you act together in other films?

  • Ram Nithin: "Mad" is a very special movie for us. It feels right to keep that uniqueness confined to "Mad."
  • Sangeeth Shobhan: We haven't thought about that yet.

Who would you say is the main hero of this film?

  • "Entertainment" is the main hero of this film. That's what drives "Mad Square."

How much "madness" are you planning to create with "Mad Square"?

  • Ram Nithin: "Mad Square" has more comedy than "Mad." This time, Ashok (Narne Nithin) and Manoj (Ram Nithin) also deliver more humor. We believe the audience will really enjoy this comedy.

What kind of preparations did you do for "Mad Square"?

  • Ram Nithin: "Mad" was my first film, so I had some fear about how the audience would receive it. But with "Mad Square," we were very confident. So, our performances were even better.
  • Narne Nithin: In "Mad," each character had a track. My character started out somewhat serious, but by the end, I was doing comedy like the others. Now, in "Mad Square," I play a full-fledged comedic role, and I adapted myself accordingly.
  • Sangeeth Shobhan: We made "Mad Square" very playfully, with the confidence given by the success of "Mad." We didn't do any special preparations other than trying to make it funnier.

How did you feel when you were told about the sequel?

  • Ram Nithin: We were very happy. During the "Mad" shooting, we were sad to be missing such a good team. But when the film became a big hit and we heard about the sequel, we were thrilled.

Producer Naga Vamsi said there's no story in this film, right?

  • Narne Nithin: You should expect stories from films like "Baahubali" and "RRR." This film is made with the sole aim of making you laugh. That's why Naga Vamsi said, "Don't expect a big story, come to have fun."
  • Sangeeth Shobhan: It's good to let the audience know the purpose of a film beforehand. This film is made to entertain, so we said that to make sure the audience comes with those expectations.

What was Naga Vamsi's role in "Mad"?

  • Ram Nithin: Naga Vamsi's role was crucial. He's always thinking about movies. He saw me in a web series and suggested I'd be perfect for the Manoj role, which shows how much he thinks about movies. He also trusts the director and actors and gives them complete freedom.

Are there any heroine roles in the film?

  • Narne Nithin: Their characters continue to exist in our lives, as a continuation of the first part. But they don't appear on screen.

What will "Mad Square" be like?

  • Sangeeth Shobhan: The reason for "Mad's" success was entertainment, and that's our strength. Keeping that in mind, "Mad Square" is made as a fully entertaining film. And the comedy in this film is completely new.

Is the film suitable for family audiences?

  • Sangeeth Shobhan: We had similar doubts during the first part. But after the film's release, family audiences loved it. "Mad Square" is also made as a clean comedy film. As Vamsi Garu said, the wedding sequence, in particular, will be enjoyed by everyone.

What will Laddu's character be like?

  • Sangeeth Shobhan: Laddu's character is even funnier in "Mad Square" than in "Mad." The three of us have a lot of fun with Laddu.

Narne Nithin, does your brother-in-law, Jr. NTR, give you any advice?

  • Narne Nithin: He's been giving me advice since my first film. And I'm adapting myself accordingly. I'll continue to take his advice in the future.

Do you think the "Mad" franchise should continue?

  • It would be good if it did. But it would be better to do it after a break, not immediately.
