Three lakh condoms. Come to think of it. Those many condoms will be given away to athletes during the ongoing Paris Olympics. Western media reports have come out with different estimates. And most of them are shocked at the quantity of condoms deployed in Paris.
"The 2024 Paris Olympics has lifted their intimacy ban and will stock up 300,000 condoms for the athletes. The ban was previously placed during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to prevent COVID spread," a report stated.
Dating apps are aiding athletes and others in connecting with those looking for hook-ups. "It's the SEX Olympics! Dating apps including Tinder, Hinge and Bumble see a surge in users around Paris as thousands of athletes converge on the city looking for hook-ups - and they have 200,000 condoms to get through," wrote Daily Mail in its report.
Another media report described the ongoing Olympics as a sex championship. "Why the Olympics is set to be the ultimate sex championship with ‘Marathon’ sex sessions, 300k free condoms & ‘orgies’," wrote The Sun in its report.
