Mega Health Camp Success
Marking the 86th birth anniversary of late Rebel Star Krishnam Raju, the 3rd Annual Health Camp by UK-India Diabetic Foot Foundation was successfully held on January 20 at Sri Rastu Function Hall in Dendukuru, Madhira, Khammam district. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka graced the event as chief guest, accompanied by Smt. Nandini Vikramarka and Mallu Surya Vikramaditya.
Massive Community Impact
Organized under the leadership of Smt. Shyamala Devi (Krishnam Raju's wife) and daughter Praseeda, with diabetic foot surgeon Dr. Venu Kavarthapu leading medical services, the camp drew huge crowds from Khammam, Madhira, and nearby areas. Over 3,000 people received free medical check-ups, medicines, and specialized treatment for diabetes and foot complications, supported by 32 renowned doctors from India and abroad.
Leadership Tributes
Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka praised Krishnam Raju's family for continuing his legacy through this large-scale free camp, noting many poor patients ignore diabetes until severe. He lauded Shyamala Devi and Praseeda for aiding the underprivileged. Shyamala Devi shared how Krishnam Raju's London treatment experience inspired annual camps – first in Mogalthur, then Bhimavaram, now Madhira – thanking the Deputy CM for full support and committing to future events.
