Giving a respite from the heat waves and extreme temperatures, both the Telugu speaking states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh received heavy rains on Tuesday. Rainfall started towards afternoon in some locations and spread to the rest of the areas by evening. The unseasonal rains have also caused crop loss in Andhra.
The rains have wreaked havoc, causing inundation, traffic jams, power cuts and damages at several places. Meanwhile, loss of life is also being reported in Andhra and the details of the casualties are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, the city of Hyderabad has witnessed heavy traffic at several places including from people returning from their workplaces, especially in Kondapur, Gachibowli, Hitech city and other areas.
