In the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, station Ghanpur MLA and ex-minister Kadiyam Srihari and his daughter Kadiyam Kavya joined the Congress party, on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Earlier, Kadiyam Kavya was given BRS ticket from Warangal constituency and Kavya resigned from the BRS and now joined Congress.
It is known that in her letter to the BRS chief, K Chandrashekar Rao, Kavya pointed out that the BRS party’s credibility is being lost due to recent controversies like the phone tapping case, Kavitha’s arrest in a liquor scam and lack of coordination in the party cadre.
Very recently, senior leader KK and his daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Hyderabad mayor, joined the Congress from the BRS party. The Congress party, which has won with a majority in the assembly elections, is now targeting the Lok Sabha elections as well.
Lok Sabha polls will be held in Telangana on May 13, 2023, for the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies.
