The BJP's Central Disciplinary Committee on Sunday revoked the suspension of T Raja Singh, the incumbent MLA of the Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the Goshamahal Assembly constituency in Hyderabad.
"Upon suspension, the Central Disciplinary Committee of the party had issued a show cause notice to you. This refers to your reply to the notice. Your reply and the explanation offered therein has been considered by the committee. Basis your reply, the committee has decided to revoke your suspension forthwith," the party said today in a letter addressed to Raja Singh.
Last year, Raja Singh was suspended from the BJP after the Prophet Muhammad remarks controversy.
In August this year, Raja Singh said that he would be ready to quit politics to fight for Hindu Rashtra. "I am a Hindutva-vadi. I won't join any of the secular parties like BRS and Congress come what may. I will remain in the BJP. If not, I will take a break from politics and fight independently to make India a Hindu Rashtra," he said. In the past, Raja Singh allegedly supported armed resistance towards the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra. So far, he has been accused of 18 communal offences.
