KCR calls Telangana Martyr's mother. The people of Telangana cannot forget the martyrdom of Srikanthchary for the cause of the state. When the fight for a separate state of Telangana was at its height, Srikanthachary set ablaze himself for the cause. Telangana CM KCR and the ruling BRS have been often facing criticism that it has been insulting and ignoring the martyrs and their families after coming to power.
Many family members of the martyrs attacked CM KCR and the ruling BRS government for conveniently ignoring them after stoking the sentiments and emotions to come to power.
In the midst of all this, Telangana CM KCR invited martyr Srikanthachary's mother Sankaramma. On the directions of CM KCR, Minister Jagadeesh Reddy brought her to Hyderabad from her native place.
It is known that Martyrs Memorial will be inaugurated tomorrow 22 June and ahead of it, CM KCR chose to invite Sankaramma. Speculation is that CM KCR, following his son KTR's promise, Sankaramma will be made an MLC. Over the last few days Sankaramma is seething with anger and CM KCR is planning to pacify her by making her happy by offering her the MLC post. The question is whether will Sankaramma accept KCR's offer or will reject her and continue her tirade against the BR's government.
