Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu started his political innings with Jagan's YSR Congress on December 28th as he joined the party in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was expecting an MLA or MP ticket in Guntur and considering his popularity, everyone thought Jagan would give him the ticket. Rayudu was also praising Jagan to the sky after he was appointed as Aadudam Andhra program ambassador.
But all of a sudden today, Ambati has announced that has quit YSRCP. "This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time." he tweeted today.
Rayudu's political innings with YCP lasted just 7 days. Tthe reasons behind this could be that YCP didn't allocate the desired constituency MLA ticket for him or didn't give any ticket at all. Either way, joining YCP and leaving after a week doesn't send a good signal on both Rayudu and YCP. It shows their unstable nature.
We shall see if Rayudu will go to TDP and JSP in the due course and be active in 2024 election.
