The effect of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his right hand man Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy is such that the opposition leader of AP, and TDP boss, Chandrababu Naidu is having to pick not one but constituencies to contest from.
CBN is set to contest from the customary Kuppam constituency apart from one other constituency somewhere in the Godavari districts. The planning from CBN is to contest in Eluru constituency.
Naidu was advised to contest in two segments instead of one as his chances have gone down drastically in Kuppam. Having one other alternative constituency is advised for Chandra Babu and hence the decision to pick Eluru as a back up. There are a couple of other options in mind as well.
Naidu moving from Kuppam and picking a backup constituency itself is an overwhelming indication that he is a scared man and has accepted YCP's win in 2024. But this is a smaller humiliation than not even going to the assembly after possibly losing Kuppam election. So Naidu has taken this tough call.
