When two political parties in alliance, they are bound to lose some of the hopeful MLA constituencies to their partners as a part of the seats adjustments and ticket allocations. Same thing is happening with TDP and Jana Sena as they are jointly preparing for AP elections and this is unsettling a few TDP seniors.
There is a report going around on social media and this is claimed to be the list of constituencies that TDP is allocating to JSP in the election. Despite this list going viral and catching up like wildfire, TDP and JSP leaders have neither condemned it nor acknowledged it. Regardless, the ticket distribution will be a tug of war between the two parties as both of them will want to contest in crucial segments.
As per this list, JSP is pitted to contest in the constituencies that belong to TDP seniors Butchaiah Chowdary, Jyotula Nehru, Konda Babu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, and Bandaru Satyanandam. Apart from these, JSP is likely to contest in Varma-dominated constituencies like Rajahmundry Rural, Pendurthy, Jaggampeta, Pithapuram, and Kakinada Rural. They are confident of contesting in Kovuru, Tanuku and Narsapuram as well.
Many of these constituencies have traditionally been in favor of TDP over decades and TDP veterans usually contest here. But with TDP's ally JSP eyeing these constituencies, TDP will have to follow "alliance parity" and allocate many of them to Pawan Kalyan's party. This is now leaving TDP seniors stressed out as they might have to sacrifice these constituencies to JSP candidates.
But at the same time, Chandra Babu is a seasoned campaigner and he knows how to handle such situations. He might not set aside so many seniors in a single election as it wouldn't project the right image for TDP. He will be prepared to deal with the rebellion if it comes to that. It is already heard that Babu has promised nominated posts and MP tickets to TDP seniors who might have to sacrifice their seats to JSP.
