Daggubati Purandeswari was recently appointed as the AP wing president of AP BJP and for the last few weeks, she has been moving close with BJP. She was the one who got Lokesh the appointment with Amit Shah after he waited for 10 days.
Then, Purandeswari said she welcomes the bail of Chandrababu Naidu, the very day he was let out from the Rajahmundry central jail. Her recent actions have led to comments on social media that she is taking a pro-CBN stance.
Purandeswari is the sister-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu and this is adding more credence to the narrative that she could be a covert of Chandrababu in BJP and this is ruining the prospects of BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu himself is fighting for survival in AP with the latest survey reports suggesting that he might loose from Kuppam in the coming elections. At this time, Purandeswari putting entire BJP AP ecosystem at risk by implying that the party is with CBN might not sit well with the central BJP leadership.
It has to be seen how the central BJP hierarchy will react to this pro-CBN stance taken by Purandeswari. For now, the central leadership is focused on Telangana politics so Purandeswari is getting away with her recent actions.
