TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was let out on medical bail by the AP high court earlier yesterday, 31 October as he claimed that he had many health problems and needed to get all of them treated.
Now if we compare the CBN bail saga with that of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's we can see a clear difference that is shockingly staggering. There is not even an iota of similarity.
After CBN was jailed, there was a battalion that worked for him. He had a team of lawyers, the party cadre, Eenadu ABN TV5, system management skill and so many more things going his way.
Even with all this, CBN played games like claiming numerous health risks in a desperate attempt to get out of jail anyway he can. TDP staged many paid events including the recent concert in Gachibowli.
But when Jagan Mohan Reddy faced the legal battle all on his own, he was barely 40, didn't have a strongly organized party, a mourning family, and only a section of his family's hardcore followers. But not once did he play ugly games about his health risks or any such thing. He fought with dignity.
And when Jagan came out, the monstrous hype was real. Hyderabad roads were flooded with people from all parts. The Lotus Pond residence was filled with hardcore YS supporters who welcomed their leader who would go on to change the face of AP politics.
After all this, Jagan is a CM with 151 MLAs, while Chandrababu is out on medical bail with hardly 20 MLAs to his name and he himself facing existential crisis and having to create paid campaigns to stay relevant in AP politics.
