Speaking with the public the other day, TDP chief Chandrababu's wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari commented that selling 2% of the Heritage company can give them a white money cheque of Rs 400 crores.
She said there is no need for them to loot the public's money. While Bhuvaneshwari's comment might be with a good intention of her trying to save CBN's face, it has come back to haunt CBN and Lokesh now.
People are questioning the numbers behind the revelation. "If 2% of Heritage is worth Rs 400 crores, then the total value of the company is Rs 20,000 crores. But neither Lokesh nor CBN list this in their election affidavit. They don't disclose the value of these accounted assets and funds. Were they lying in their affidavits all the while?" a netizen commented.
The face-saving act by TDP by bringing in Heritage has caused more bad than good to the party and this has now come back to haunt Lokesh and CBN in the public's eye.
