Purusha Pretham, which translates to The Male Ghost, is a Malayalam horror thriller drama film based on the book by Manu Thodupuzha. With a screenplay by Ajith Haridas, the film has been directed and shot by Krishand R K and has music by Ajmal Hasbulla. Darshana Rajendran, last seen in the Malayalam film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, plays a pivotal role in Purusha Pretham. Along with her, the cast includes names such as Prasanth Alexander, Jagadish, Devaki Rajendran, Mala Parvathy and James Elia, among many others.
