The US Embassy in India had revealed it plan to issue over 10 lakh visas to Indians in 2023 and this mighty feat has been reached already. The US Embassy in India has issued over a million visas to Indians till now.
The US Embassy's official social media handle tweeted about the same a short while ago as they publicized that Indians were indeed allotted 1 million visas in the last 10 months. This is the highest number of visas issued to Indians in a single year till now. 2023 has set a new all time record in this regard.
"Missionto1M accomplished! We are excited to announce that the U.S. Mission to India has reached and surpassed our goal to process one million visa applications in 2023!
We will not stop here and continue our progress in coming months, to give as many Indian applicants the opportunity to travel to the United States." The statement from the US Embassy in India read.
Earlier, the US Embassy had issued 90,000 student visas in three months from June to August and they wrote "The U.S. Mission in India is pleased to announce that we issued a record number – over 90,000 – of student visas this Summer/ in June, July, and August. This summer almost one in four student visas worldwide was issued right here in India!
