After leaving a lasting impression as the immortal warrior Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi spectacle, Kalki 2898 AD, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is all set to reprise his role in the much-anticipated sequel, Kalki 2.

According to the latest report by Mid-Day, the megastar will commence shooting for the film in May 2025, with a month-long schedule planned before he rejoins the cast for additional filming later in the year.

Bigger Role, Intense Conflict in Kalki 2

The sequel will significantly expand Ashwatthama’s character arc, increasing Bachchan’s screen time as the story delves deeper into his conflict with Prabhas’ Bhairava and Kamal Haasan’s Supreme Commander Yaskin. Sources indicate that the sequel will intensify the battle between these three Titans as they fight for the future of Sumathi’s (Deepika Padukone) unborn child.

As per reports, Big B will start prepping for his role by the end of March, ensuring he brings even more depth and power to his portrayal of the legendary Ashwatthama.

While an official release date for Kalki 2 is yet to be announced, the film is already shaping up to be grander, darker, and more intense than its predecessor. Fans can expect an epic showdown unlike anything seen before!
