Get ready for a power-packed cinematic experience! The pan-Indian action drama "Dacoit," starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has just gotten even more exciting with the addition of acclaimed director and actor Anurag Kashyap to its cast.
Kashyap will be playing a fearless and incorruptible police inspector who is also a staunch devotee of Lord Ayyappa. This multi-layered character, described as sharp-minded, witty, and sarcastic, adds another dimension to the film's already gripping narrative of love, betrayal, and revenge.
The makers have also released a striking new poster that highlights the film's gritty and action-packed tone. "Dacoit" follows the story of an enraged convict seeking vengeance on his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him, leading to a thrilling and emotionally charged journey.
Kashyap's Excitement:
Anurag Kashyap expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, "Playing a police officer who is an Ayyappa devotee is a unique challenge. The conflict between duty and faith, portrayed with a dry sense of humor, is fantastic. I'm also enjoying the challenge of performing this character in both Hindi and Telugu."
A Bilingual Production:
Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, "Dacoit" is being produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. The film is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, with a story and screenplay crafted by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. Filming is currently underway in Hyderabad, with plans for an extensive schedule in Maharashtra.
With its intriguing storyline, stellar cast, and bilingual production, "Dacoit" is shaping up to be a major cinematic event.
