Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina, known for delivering blockbuster hits like "Dhamaka," is brimming with confidence about his latest venture, "Majaka." This landmark 30th film for People's Star Sandeep Kishan is set to release grandly in theaters on February 26th, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. In a recent press meet, Nakkina shared his excitement and insights about the film.

On the expectations for "Majaka":

  • "Majaka is a 100% hit film. The range of its success will be decided after the first show. Everyone who has seen the film so far has said it's super and a hit film."

On the limited publicity time:

  • "It's true that the time was limited. But the producers have put in their best effort. We all worked day and night to release it on Shivaratri, which is an auspicious date for the film."

On when he first heard the story:

  • "Prasanna Kumar narrated this story during the making of 'Dhamaka.' He wrote it with Rao Ramesh in mind. I asked him who would play the hero. The story went to a few people, but finally, it came back to Rao Ramesh. It's really great that Sandeep Kishan agreed to do this film."

On whether the story is inspired by "Bro Daddy":

  • "No, it's not. I have seen that film, but this story is different."

On the core plot of "Majaka":

  • "In a single line, it's about the yearning of two men without women in their lives to have a family photo in their house. Their struggles and efforts towards this are presented in a full fun zone. The last twenty minutes are very emotional."

On any changes he made to the script:

  • "Every film has changes and additions. But for this film, I didn't get involved much in the script. Prasanna came with a complete bound script. He had already made all the changes and additions, with scenes and dialogues. Prasanna and Sai Krishna wrote it perfectly. There were only minor changes in dialogues during the shoot. The story of 'Majaka' was complete by the time it came to me."

On selecting the "Ramulamma" song:

  • "Yes, I really like the private albums on YouTube. They are very well made. So, we thought it would be nice to present a song that has already reached the public in our own style. In fact, I have an idea to use four such hit songs from YouTube in a film. It can be done if we get a good commercial story."

On casting Anshu:

  • "I thought it would be good to cast an artist with a heroine image for that character. Then I discussed with Prasanna about casting Anshu from 'Manmadhudu.' Later, producer Rajesh garu contacted her. I spoke to her on the phone and explained the character. She doesn't know Telugu, but she worked hard, learned, understood the meaning of each dialogue, and acted, which made me very happy. Anshu's character will be what people expect from a mother's character."

On the censoring of the "Khushi" reference scene:

  • "The scene is there, but the dialogue was censored. Actually, that dialogue would have been another high in the theater. The censor board also liked that dialogue and laughed a lot. But due to some rules, they had to censor it."

On the music of "Majaka":

  • "The songs were made based on the story of 'Majaka,' and we designed them accordingly. Leon James gave good music."

On the producers of "Majaka":

  • "Rajesh garu and Anil garu are very supportive producers. They gave me a lot of freedom."
  • "We are thinking of making a sequel to 'Majaka.' We have added 'Double Majaka' at the end. However, we are also considering going with a different title."

On his journey from "Mem Vayasuku Vacham" to "Majaka":

  • "It's been very good. The producers, distributors, exhibitors, and audience are not losing because of me. I'm happy to be making such films."

On his upcoming projects as a producer:

  • "We are planning to release 'Chauryapatham' in April. 'Anakapalli' is a cult love story. It's a story I wrote many years ago. It's a very raw love story."

On "Double Dhamaka":

  • "It would be good to do 'Double Dhamaka' with Ravi Teja. I'm trying for that."

With Trinadha Rao Nakkina's confidence and the buzz surrounding "Majaka," it seems like Sandeep Kishan's 30th film is poised to be a memorable entertainer.
